Opening Word
Dear colleagues and friends,
on behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to warmly invite you to the ITI Congress of Czechia and Slovakia, which will take place at the end of this year at the X-BIONIC Hotel in Šamorín, near Bratislava. The congress offers a very interesting program, undoubtedly showcasing the very best of today’s global digital implantology.
The motto of this year’s congress is “Digital Synergy in Implant Dentistry”, and we can look forward to lectures by leading experts covering the main issues we currently face in the field of digital workflows and immediate implantation.
The congress will open on Friday with István Urbán, a world-renowned authority on bone defect reconstruction techniques. In his lecture, he will speak about digitally guided tissue regeneration. He will be followed by Professor France Lambert from the University of Liège, co-author of Volume 14 of the ITI Treatment Guide. Her lecture will focus on strategies for immediate implant placement and loading in esthetic areas. Friday’s program will conclude with Samuel Akhondi, a PhD candidate from Harvard University, who will present the digital workflow in the treatment of edentulous jaws with implants. Saturday morning will be fully dedicated to Gary Finelle from Paris. His lecture – immediate implantation in the posterior regions of the jaws – will logically complement France Lambert’s esthetic topic. Jakub Hošek from Prague will discuss effective communication between the dental office and the laboratory using digital technologies. Saturday’s program will close with Maja Chmielewska, who will evaluate various digital protocols and their benefits for dental practice and patient outcomes.
In parallel with the Friday program and continuing partially afterwards, a practical workshop will take place. The morning session will include intraoral scanning training. Then, Jakub Hošek will demonstrate facial scanning using a smartphone and the integration of the data into the overall reconstruction plan.
In the afternoon, France Lambert and Gary Finelle will jointly lead a hands-on session on models, focusing on the procedure of immediate implant placement and loading.
In addition to the main auditorium, a full-day program will take place on Friday for dental hygienists. The morning will feature two excellent periodontists from Žilina – Michal Štefanatný and Šimon Belák. Their lectures will offer dental hygienists their perspective on peri-implant tissue management and the effectiveness of debridement techniques.
The afternoon will feature lectures by Peter Kramárik from Trnava and Jana Norkin from Prague. Both will share their experience from daily practice, addressing patient motivation and long-term treatment success.
Friday evening will conclude with a social gathering accompanied by Yes Blues band and DJ Krto in the hotel’s main hall. The venue offers state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and boasts exceptional wellness facilities.
We look forward to meeting you on behalf of the Organizing Committee
