There is no deep scaling like deep scaling
Simon Belak
Deep scaling, scaling and root planing, subgingival scaling, curettage, subgingival treatment… sometimes it’s all a big mess — even though the goal is the same. But it doesn’t always have to be that way. So when exactly should I perform debridement, when scaling, and when root planing? What instrument do I need for each? And do I really always have to follow these exact steps to achieve the therapeutic goal?
In this lecture, I’ll explain how to proceed during initial periodontal treatment so that you’ll know the answers to these questions.
